💜 What a wonderful morning at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! 💜

The rain held off for most of the morning and waited until just the right moment—right at the very end—to make sure our walkers got soaked! 😂 Thankfully, it was warm enough that the rain actually felt pretty refreshing!

We had our Carriages Bags Game set up with some pretty fun swag and prizes, and of course, we had to add a little extra purple fun! 💜 We colored hair purple so everyone could have an extra-special photo at our Selfie Station. 📸💜

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported this incredible cause, donated, walked with us, cheered us on, and helped make today such a successful and meaningful event.

Every step, every dollar, and every act of support helps us move closer to a world without Alzheimer’s. 💜

This week, we took some time to recognize the hardworking members of our team who help keep The Carriages of Decatur running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! ❤️

There is SO much that happens behind the scenes to keep our community running smoothly, looking beautiful, staying clean, and feeling like home for our residents—and we are incredibly thankful for the people who make it happen!

From fixing what’s broken and tackling those never-ending maintenance requests 🔨, to keeping our building and grounds looking their best ✨, to making sure our community is clean, comfortable, and ready for whatever the day brings—you are an essential part of what makes The Carriages such a special place.

THANK YOU for the hard work, early mornings, unexpected fixes, problem-solving, and all of the little things you do that often go unnoticed but make a BIG difference every single day. ❤️

🌟✨ Shine Like a Star! ✨🌟

Well, we finished up National Assisted Living Week with our Shine Like a Star Red Carpet Event, and boy, oh boy, was it AMAZING! 🎬⭐️❤️

We gussied up our beautiful residents and rolled out the red carpet for an afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of star-worthy moments! Our residents enjoyed delicious mocktails 🍹 and hors d’oeuvres prepared by our incredible dietary staff, and we presented special awards to each resident, thoughtfully tailored to their unique personalities and the things that make them so special to us. 🏆💫

We had live singing by Chelsea 🎤, danced the day away 💃🕺, and made memories that we’ll be talking about for a long time!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible—from doing hair and helping our residents get dressed up, to preparing food, decorating, taking pictures, setting up, cleaning up, and jumping in wherever you were needed. It truly takes a village, and our village showed up BIG! ❤️

Our residents are the stars of The Carriages, and we loved giving them the red-carpet treatment they deserve! 🌟

National Assisted Living Week may be over, but the smiles and memories will last far beyond this week! ❤️
